Lasallian Summer Program 2007/2008
This program, run by the De La Salle Brothers offers
opportunities for young people to contribute their much
needed time, skills and talents to the Aboriginal community
of Wirrimanu Balgo Hills in Western Australia.
Volunteers provide support and offer recreational activities
to the local aboriginal community during the summer
school holiday period.
This program has been in operation
for five years. The De La Salle Brothers who run Luurnpa
Catholic School, Balgo Hills offer volunteers an opportunity
to 'put their faith into action’ through this
volunteer program.
Date: December 28, 2007 - January 11th, 2008

Itinerary:
28th Dec - Travel to Alice Springs
29th Dec - Travel to Balgo
29th Dec - 9th January : Balgo
10th Jan -Travel to Alice Springs
11th Jan -Travel home
Participants are required to pay their own travel expenses
to and from Alice Springs.
In addition to travel expenses, participants are required
to cover their accommodation expenses in Alice Springs
for 2 nights (approx: $80 total for accommodation).
