Hills Summer & Winter Camp 2013
This program, run by the De La Salle Brothers offers
opportunities for young people to contribute their time, skills and talents to the Aboriginal community
of Wirrimanu Balgo Hills in Western Australia.
Volunteers provide support and offer recreational activities
to the local aboriginal community during the summer
school holiday period.
This program has been in operation
for eight years. The De La Salle Brothers who run Luurnpa
Catholic School, Balgo Hills offer volunteers an opportunity
to 'put their faith into action’ through this
volunteer program.
This coming January Holidays there will be two Balgo Summer Camp teams:
TEAM ONE: TBA
TEAM TWO: TBA
Participants are required to pay a $900 registration fee which covers their return flights to Broome and all accomodation and food expenses. Participants are also required to attend an orientation day that will be scheduled before thier trip out.
