Lasallian Youth Ministry offers a wide range of projects that you can become involved in:

Balgo Hills Summer Camp Program
The Balgo Hills Summer Camp Program is a unique immersion experience where small teams of participants travel to the remote community of Balgo Hills In Western Australia to run summer programs for the local indigenous children. MORE

Share the Mission
This programme, which was established in 2004 is an excellent opportunity to participate in some exciting ministries with marginalised youth, exploring one's spirituality and life-direction, and experiencing life in a Lasallian community. MORE

Camp La Salle
Camp La Salle is an activity based holiday camp and recreational experience for students aged between 12-15 years who otherwise may not receive such an opportunity. Camp La Salle seeks to offer opportunities for participants to make new friends, develop new skills as well as a sense of responsibility by providing supportive leaders and role models.
Camp La Salle programs require confident leaders every year. Contact your local Lasallian Youth Minister for information on the programs operating in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand and Queensland.

Papua New Guinea Youth Ministry Roadshow
This is a program that operates each year during the first couple of weeks of February. Aspiring Lasallian Youth Ministers or Lasallian Volunteers are encouraged to join this team to provide Lasallian induction workshops to the four Lasallian high schools in Papua New Guinea. The 14 day roadshow involves training Lasallian Youth of PNG to assist with the workshops and to help in leading the Annual Lasallian Leadership Seminar on the final weekend for over 120 College Leaders of the area. Contact James Camden for more information. Participants cover their airfare (approx. $900). Download the application form here

Brothers Life
The mission of the De La Salle Brothers is to provide a human and Christian education for young people, especially the poor. Have you considered joining the De La Salle Brothers? The Brothers’ vocation presents great opportunities to inspire others by continuing the work of Saint de La Salle in service and in spreading the Good News. MORE

Lasallian Youth Leaders
Lasallian Youth Ministry offers opportunities for leadership training and development for young people. In 2010, senior students at sixteen Lasallian schools in Australia and New Zealand participate in the Lasallian Youth Leader (LYL) training program.

Lasallian Youth Leaders are involved in a range of activities in their respective schools. Activities include:
• Facilitation of junior school retreats
• Visits to junior religious education classes
• Service projects in their local communities
• Fund raising for worthy causes
• Lasallian Youth For Justice (LY4J)

During November of each year, Lasallian Youth Leaders from the Sydney Lasallian schools gather for a combined leadership day called 'Lasallian Encounter'.

In 2011 it is anticipated that the number of schools adopting the LYL model will continue to increase.

Lasallian Leadership Seminar
The Lasallian Leadership Seminar for Year 12 leaders from Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea takes place at Lasalle Youth Camp Kincumber every year during January. In 2010, sixty senior school students from 21 De La Salle schools participated.

The seminar is a fantastic opportunity for leaders to network with other Lasallians and become aware of their common heritage. Over four days, the students experience varying forms of prayer and worship and are involved in numerous team building challenges and activities to develop their leadership skills. Discussion concerning how their school demonstrates 'being Lasallian' is always a major focus of the seminar.
