A Prayer asking for Saints Like De La Salle

How happy we are today, Lord,

Since we found out that you are within our hearts

And that we need not shout in order for you to hear us,

Nor wave our arms so that you see us.

It is you who encourages us to do good;

You who reprimands us gently

When we do wrong so that we return to you.

We ask you to send saints like De La Salle into our world,

Who will put into practice the beatitudes of your Son:

-receiving the poor and those who suffer:

-those who are persecuted and hungry:

-those who have chosen to trust in you

And in your Word of life.

And give to all of us who seek you

And who want to follow you,

Strength to keep on the road that you point out.

AMEN.
