Adult Formation courses are now off and running for the year with a diverse range of participants taking part.
Br John Cantwell, Director of Adult Formation, Amanda Proulx, Assistant Director of Formation (Young Lasallians) and Br Gerard Rummery from the Gerard Rummery Institute (GRI), commenced the Adult Formation programs with 'Members of Staff new to a Lasallian School (Part1) which was offered across two days on the 12 & 13 of February.
The program introduced participants to the Lasallian heritage, among the many others that have characterised Catholic education in Australia, some of which are also an integral part of the heritage of individual schools. The course honours all charisms with a focus on a home-grown charism, that of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, which was led by Josephite Sister Bernice.
For many participants, this was the first time coming together from many different Lasallian works and schools. The interaction between participants and the knowledge and experiences shared by Formation leaders was insightful for all staff new to a Lasallian School or workplace.
The following 'Members of Staff new to a Lasallian School' (Part1) will take place on Tuesday, 13 March in Melbourne - more information to come shortly.
