Age of Innocence - Children and Criminal Responsibility

Advocacy and Research have collaborated with Client Services to respond to a survey by the Tasmanian Commissioner for Children and Young People that explores what raising the minimum age of criminal responsibility might mean for Tasmania. We strongly advocate that any services developed to address the offending needs of children and young people should align with the principle of human-centred design. The evidence that crime can be addressed and prevented by tackling its underlying causes is also outlined.
