It is with great pleasure, that I announce the appointment of Stephen Chapman to the position of Assistant Principal/Leader of Pedagogy at O'Connor Catholic College, Armidale. I would like to thank the panel members Principal Ms Regina Menz, Parish Priest Fr Roal Llave, Chair of School Advisory Council Dr Vernon Crew, Assistant Principal of St Mary's College Gunnedah Mrs Catherine Martin and School Performance Leader Mr Rod Whelan for their support in the appointment process.
Stephen has worked in the Armidale Diocese for 18 years and is currently the Acting Assistant Principal Learning at O'Connor. In addition, he has held multiple leadership positions within the Diocese included Year Level and Stage Coordinator roles, Leader of Pedagogy and Mathematics Leader of Learning. Stephen is also a HSC maker, HSC Committee member and has previously been a HSC Chief Examiner.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science (Science/Maths) and a Graduate Diploma of Education from the University of New England. In addition he holds a Graduate Certificate in Theology from The Broken Bay Institute and a Masters of Educational Studies (Pedagogy and Online Learning).
Stephen continues to be a strong advocate for the development of a Catholic Professional Learning Community, leading by example with his own professional development. He consistently makes informed adjustments and improvements to achieve best practice, always aspiring to provide the highest quality education to each and every student.
I would like to congratulate Stephen on his appointment and wish him continued growth and success in his new role.
