Posted by Christina Trimble on 16 October 2020

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Nicole Morton as the Principal of St Johns College, Dubbo commencing January, 2021.

Nicole is the Assistant Principal at Xavier High School, Albury (2015-current) and is currently acting in the role of Professional Learning Leader for Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga.

Nicole's previous leadership positions include at Hennessy Catholic College, Young where she held the position of Director of Mission (2014-15), Director of Growth and Performance (2012-14), and Acting Assistant Principal - Welfare and Administration. Nicole is an experienced Catholic leader who is passionate about young people in regional areas having access to excellent education, excellent care and diverse opportunities in a faith filled community.

The appointment of a new Principal is a very significant occasion for the school community. Parents and families appreciate that Catholic schools are an important part of the Mission of the Catholic Church.

At the time of this announcement, I wish to thank Mrs Kerry Morris for her outstanding commitment to and leadership of St Johns College over many years.

This is a successful outcome to a thorough and lengthy selection process which included consultation with staff, students and parents. The contribution by Fr Greg Kennedy, Parish Priest to the process, is highly valued.
