Appreciation: The response to requests to all parts of the District for collaboration in preparing material to submit to Catholic Professional Standards Limited (CPSL) has been overwhelmingly generous. Thank you.
This has made the substantial task of assembling information and exploring alternative methods of making the data available to CPSL far more manageable than it may have possibly been.
Currently most attention is being given to the completion of self-assessments by the ministries that have been selected as a result of negotiating the "scope" of the audit. "In" words that have gained a great deal of usage include "entity", generally used to refer to the total organisation, for us "the District" and "Church Authority" adapted from the language of Towards Healing and slipping into being used as a synonym for the Brother Visitor and District Council, the Trustees".
"Ministries" has become the preferred nomenclature and the more accurate reference to the works in which we are engaged.
The Audit falls into four main components: personal telephone interviews, data collection from ministries, CPSL close review based on assessing the data supplied and finally initial feedback to the Church Authority that responds before the final report is issued and published on the CPSL website. We now imagine that the report will appear late in December.
