On Tuesday, 14 August, the hopes and concerns of young Catholics were given a voice at an Australian Catholic Youth Council workshop in Sydney yesterday. Lasallian Mission Council's Sebastian Duhau from the Young Lasallians Team is one voice belonging to the Australian Catholic Youth Council workshop, in preparation for the upcoming General Synod of Bishops on Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment.
Australia's Synod delegates Sydney Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP and Melbourne Auxiliary Bishop Mark Edwards OMI listened to attendees and discussed a wide range of issues.
"I think the Church needs to restructure how it approaches, forms and supports young people in their lives. We are really fortunate that young people have this opportunity to impact the wider Church and to have a say on the big issues, " said workshop attendee Sebastian Duhau, 22.
Youth Ministers, Isaac Selvey and Olivia Moore were also workshop attendees, representing youth from rural Australia.
Congratulations to Sebastian, Issac and Olivia for their contributions.
