The Catholic Bishop of Faisalabad in Pakistan, Most Reverend Joseph Arshad has personally presented awards to top scholars from La Salle High School who excelled in their recent examinations.
The Minister of Human Rights in Punjab Province, Mr Khalil Tahir Sandhu and the District Coordination Officer in Faisalabad, Mr Salman Ghani were also among the guests of honour at a special awards ceremony at the school.
Among the students honoured at the ceremony was Shehram Tabssam who achieved the highest mark of any student in Faisalabad in the annual Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education examinations.
Another award winner, Year 9 student Anosh John scored a remarkable 496 out of 505 possible marks in his annual examinations.
The outstanding results from these scholars is not only a great personal credit to them, but also a reflection of the outstanding work done by the teachers at La Salle High School.
Under the leadership of Principal and Auxiliary Visitor, Br Shahzad Gill, the school has strengthened its reputation for academic excellence, greatly expanding opportunities for its graduates to pursue tertiary education courses in Pakistan.
