Ambrose Payne returns to Sydney today after completing a sterling job as Econome General in Rome.
Br Superior writes:
Ambrose's leadership has benefitted the entire lnstitute and has been of particular assistance to me. His indefatigable work ethic, insightful reading of the signs of the times, and effective innovations in the management of the Bursar's office have contributed to a better understanding of our resources and our obligations as stewards.
I am especially grateful to Ambrose for the creation of the lnternational Strategy Committee. While the work of the committee continues, it has already proposed a road map for the care of the Brothers and the ongoing vitality of our mission. I have asked Ambrose to continue to chair the Committee until theconclusion of its mandate in December, 2019.
The Brothers of the General Council and the Central Community and I are grateful for Ambrose's fraternal presence, his witness to the Spirit of Faith and Zeal and his example of stability in the lnstitute.
