Buttimer Institute Announcement

Posted on 9 May 2018

Please see the below announcement released by the Christian Brothers Conference (North America).

Greetings from Washington, D.C.! We wanted to update you on the status of Buttimer staffing, a topic that was reviewed at the joint LEC and RCCB meeting held recently at the Maritime Conference Center in Baltimore.

Brother Jeffrey Calligan, FSC, who has been a part of the Buttimer family for more than 25 years, will be unable to join us in New York this year, a decision made as a result of health issues. We would ask that you join us in offering a prayer for his quick recovery.

Having noted that, we are pleased to be able to welcome Brother John Cantwell, FSC, the Director of Formation for the District of Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Papua New Guinea (ANZPPNG), who will step into Brother Jeffrey's shoes this year. We are honored that Brother John will be able to be with us and that he is willing to undertake the preparation to present at Buttimer, which begins in just over one month. We are also grateful to ANZPPNG for its commitment to the Buttimer Institute.  We would also be remiss if we did not also thank Brother George Van Grieken FSC for his generous offer of assistance and support.

Brother John will be working closely with Brother Jeffrey, Sarah, and others over the coming weeks to prepare for the Buttimer Institute.

Thank you for all of your support of the Buttimer Institute.
