Child Protection Week in 2021 runs from Sunday 5 - Saturday 11 September 2021.
This year's theme is: Every child, in every community, needs a fair go.
To treat all children fairly, we need to make sure every family and community has what kids need to thrive and be healthy.
Community organisations, including faith groups, are encouraged to consider ways to get involved in Child Protection Week.
For Catholic entities, participating in National Child Protection Week is a way to take a leadership role in raising community awareness of the rights and dignity of children. Joining in this nation-wide week of celebration also aligns with Standard 3 of the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards - Partnering with families, carers and communities.
In the lead up to Child Protection Week 2021, the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) will be progressively announcing events and releasing resources to support the week. Visit the NAPCAN website to learn more.
