Students at De La Salle Cronulla have embarked on a fundraising campaign for Vinnies in the lead up to Christmas.
The students at the senior coeducational school have raised over two and a half thousand dollars which will go towards grocery and movie vouchers to help disadvantaged families in the area during the festive season.
The school has teamed up with a local restaurant, Sea Level, to help organise raffle prizes for the fundraiser and the local Cronulla cinema has donated movie vouchers as part of the campaign.
The school's co-captains, Shannon Hathier and Liam Maccan say the fundraising has helped the students gain a better appreciation of the great work undertaken by the St Vincent De Paul Society and the part they can play as Lasallians in reaching out to those in need.
