To mark the Tercentenary of the passing of St John Baptist De La Salle a special mass was held at De La Salle Cronulla along with a procession to a new chapel. The Chapel was blessed and opened by past student, Bishop Terry Brady. In his homily, Bishop Brady recommended the chapel as a place of prayer and reflection where students could deepen their friendship with Jesus and seek consolation in difficult times in their lives.
A complete change of pace took place in the afternoon as a carnival atmosphere took over the campus. Lunch stalls and games took over the playground until concert time. De La's Got Talent brought out some amazing student musical performances as well as reminding us why the teachers should not give up their day jobs.
College Principal, Mr Craig Mooney said, "Congratulations to everyone who participated in this wonderful day in the life of our college and many thanks to the legion of students and teaching staff who made it all happen."
