Registrations due Monday 16 October!
For those beginning a new term, I hope that it is starting well and continues peacefully.
Exploring Our Lasallian Heritage program is to be held in Ormiston, Brisbane (22-25 October).
The venue, Santa Teresa Spirituality Centre, needs to know our numbers by early next week. I would be most grateful if you would let me know the names and email addresses of intending participants as soon as possible.
We are planning to run the program from Sunday evening until lunchtime on Wednesday - a day longer than in recent times, but three days shorter than previously! If the extra day is problematic for some, please let me know and we will make adjustments.
The Centre, as many would know, is a very pleasant place for a more reflective and relaxed exploration of why we as Lasallians do what we do, and the approach we take to working with or on behalf of young people.
The program is suitable for anyone in such a role, and we particularly value the interaction of school and yourtown people.
Many thanks to Principals who supported staff members participating in the recent pilgrimage to Rome and France.
I hope the feedback has been positive.
Santa Teresa Spirituality Centre is a wonderful location for a relaxed and peaceful introduction to the heritage. It overlooks Raby Bay and Stradbroke Island and is a very comfortable venue with single ensuite rooms.
The Centre is about 35 minutes by car from Brisbane airport, and there is also a suburban railway station at Ormiston from which people can be picked up if necessary.
About the Program
The program invites participants to reflect on the story of John Baptist de La Salle, and on their own story, while seeing the enduring values of the early Lasallian community very much alive in their own work with or on behalf of young people.
