Exploring Our Lasallian Heritage Program

Posted by Br John Cantwell on 19 September 2017

Dear Colleagues

Bookings are now open for this year's Exploring Our Lasallian Heritage program, at Ormiston (Brisbane), October 22-25.

We start on Sunday evening and finish on Wednesday after lunch. As always, the program is open to anyone from a Lasallian work. There is usually a rich mix of people who have been 'on the road' for quite a while, and those who are relatively new to the Lasallian heritage.

Santa Teresa Spirituality Centre is a wonderful location for a relaxed and peaceful introduction to the heritage. It overlooks Raby Bay and Stradbroke Island and is a very comfortable venue with single ensuite rooms.

The Centre is about 35 minutes by car from Brisbane airport, and there is also a suburban railway station at Ormiston from which people can be picked up if necessary.

The program invites participants to reflect on the story of John Baptist de La Salle, and on their own story, while seeing the enduring values of the early Lasallian community very much alive in their own work with or on behalf of young people.

Those taking part in the Ormiston program value very much the interaction between people from schools and people from yourtown.

I will be leading the Lasallian pilgrimage (Rome and France) from 24 September until 6 October, but please register the names, roles and any dietary needs by email as soon as convenient: johncantwell@delasalle.org.au

With best wishes
