In news from Francis Douglas Memorial College, New Plymouth in New Zealand, old boy Alton Gondipon recently completed his first international mission work in Sabah, Borneo.
Alton only graduated from school two years ago and has already founded the charity 'Borneo Outreach,' to help offer a sense of hope and humanity to those less fortunate on the island of Borneo.
With the support of 45 companies from around the world, Alton and his team were able to provide basic needs and supplies to orphanages and people less fortunate in rural areas.
They also provided aid to a Lasallian Hostel in Nabawan, Borneo, that was founded by the late Brother Peter Phelan. The De La Salle Mission Hostel caters for young people from less fortunate families in Borneo.
Alton is a true Lasallian and a caring College Man.
