John Paul College, has for many years held a yearly De La Salle Boys Camp for our juniors.
Last year Signum Fidei decided we should hold a Junior Girls Camp.
Team leader Mrs Hewitson called for senior girls and teachers to support this idea.
With very small funds it was decided to hold the Girls Camp at John Paul College.
The date set for May 24-26. We hope this will become a yearly event.
Junior and Senior Girls and teachers set up the camp in the Staffroom on Friday Night.
The activities included prayer reflections, Breakfast at Capers, craft work, cooking and art activities, attending Thek Year 11 production and a dress up evening.
There was friendship and fellowship all weekend. This will continue over the year. Our junior La Salle girls will continue to be mentored by staff and senior students.
The camp ended with the girls and leaders attending The St Mary's Parish Mass at 10am.
Thank you to Mrs Hewitson, our principal Mr Walsh,Signum Fidei and to all the teachers and the Big Sisters who supported this event. This weekend will definitely be a highlight for 2019 for many people.
"To touch the hearts of young people is the greatest miracle of all" This was seen over the weekend.
