Go-Go Gadget Connections

Amazement and delight were the order of the day when seniors came face-to-face with a range of high-tech gadgets at the Anglicare Retirement Villages at Castle Hill.

Students from Oakhill College demonstrated a whole range of new innovations at the Seniors Week Technology Fair which ran alongside workshops and displays by members of Anglicare's Resident Computer Club.

From robotic technologies including newborn babies and PARO the seal to 3D printing and drone flights, there was a lot to see and understand.

Ian Searle from Anglicare Villages said it was a great day for people of all ages to connect over a common interest in technology. He said it was a day of learning for both seniors and students.

"Many are under the misapprehension that seniors cannot master modern technologies and it is important to show the young that through learning and support anyone can benefit from some aspect of modern technology, irrespective of age."
