The Young Lasallians team would like to introduce a dynamic and distinguished keynote presenter, Lana Turvey-Collins. Lana is a personable, energetic and highly skilled leader in Australia. She is currently the Plenary Council facilitator, which is a three-year process of listening, dialogue, consultation and discernment for the Catholic Church in Australia. This process central question is "What is God asking of us in Australia at this time?"
She has been a pioneer as the Director of Catholic Mission in the Sydney Archdiocese, as the first layperson in the role while also being under 30. She has lived and worked in Switzerland, Zambia, Peru, Timor-Leste, New Zealand and Japan. In 2012 took a year-long sabbatical in Zambia working as a project officer. She has extensive experience in the corporate world.
Our Young Lasallians team had the first-hand experience of her expertise and personable style in action as the master of ceremonies at the Catholic Mission "One Heart, Man Voices" conference in Sydney, 2017. Her Twitter bio reads "making my way in the world, one dream at a time".
We look forward to sharing in dialogue and wisdom with Lana in Melbourne.
