LASALLIAN MISSION COUNCIL - EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

As part of its succession planning, the Lasallian Mission Council  is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitable persons in becoming a member (Director) of its Board.

The Lasallian Mission Council was established in 2014 by the De la Salle Brothers as an incorporated entity with the mandate of assuming oversight of Lasallian schools and works in the District (Province) of Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Papua New Guinea. In addition to its governance responsibilities, the Council has established Lasallian Mission Services as its operational entity for the delivery of formation, youth ministry and volunteer programs.

The Board comprises a maximum of eight Directors, of whom a majority must be lay persons. Currently the Board has five lay persons and two De la Salle Brothers as Directors. The Constitution prohibits remuneration for Directors.

The Council is especially seeking potential Directors with skills and experience in the following areas: education, formation and youth ministry, child safety, human and social services, law, finance, risk management.
