Lasallian youth leader meets Pope Francis

The XV General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops began yesterday with a solemn Mass at St Peter's Basilica.

Pope Francis greeted Australian Sebastian Duhau among several young people during the offertory procession.

Sebastian is the youngest person from an English speaking country at the global gathering of approximately 400 highly ranked church officials.

He will present a four minute speech during the month long gathering on 'Young People, The Faith and Vocational Discernment'.

The speech will draw on his experiences of youth ministry gained at his parish and work for Lasallian Mission Services.

He currently works as the Retreats and Programs Coordinator of Lasallian Mission Services.
