Kiarra Watt a Year 8 student from La Salle College, Middle Swan Western Australia offered her support to Variety, the Children's Charity by cutting and donating her hair to help make wigs for ill children.
Kiara will donate 55 centimetres of her hair to the "Hair with Heart" support program organised byVariety, making Kiara's dream to show her support a reality. An accomplishment Kiara had always hoped to deliver on for the past two years.
The Charity provides families in need with financial support, specialist equipment, therapy and medical supplies when government assistance is unavailable.
The Hair with Heart initiative helps to raise funds to create wigs for children who have lost their hair. Specialised wigs can cost up to $6000 which can prove to be a huge financial burden to families that are struggling.
