Proud alumni have joined with current students and staff for a fun quiz night at St Michael's College in Adelaide which has helped raise over seven thousand dollars for disadvantaged students across the Asia Pacific region.
Members of the local business community, including many college parents helped supply silent auction items for the event with 30 teams competing for prizes, each with 10 members.
There was a strong team of Young Lasallians who organised a table as part of the alumni SALT or South Australian Lasallian Team, including youth ministers Calia Sandona and Nadia Loprete.
The SALT team plays a vibrant part in the life of St Michael's College, contributing to Young Lasallian leadership programs and acting as volunteers on retreat days.
Funds raised through the Quiz Night will help students at St Michael's new twin school in Pakistan- La Salle Urdu High School in Faisalabad.
The school serves some of the poorest communities in the Pakistani city with many of the parents struggling to cover school fees in an area plagued by power cuts and poor levels of sanitation.
