Students from St Bede's College Mentone had a significant and incredible impact on their local Monash Children's Hospital amidst recent times of despair and uncertainty. While schools were open in Victoria, midway through march Year 7 students sent over 100 letters of support to staff and health professionals within Monash Hospital. It is this kind of light in dark times that brought life to these individuals that received letters. One letter wrote:
'If you think you're not doing the best you are because every little step creates a big difference to everyone and you're all helping us throughout this pandemic.'
While these times in our society are uncertain and uncomfortable for everyone, there is support, love and generosity coming to light. Monash Children's Hospital posted on their Facebook Page on the 20 March, to thank the students at St Bede's College, stating:
"Thank you so much to the thoughtful students at St Bede's College and thank you to our dedicated employees whose continued efforts are not going unnoticed."
