New Faces at Lasallian Mission Services

Posted by Merv McCormack on 29 November 2017

Commencing in January 2018, the team at Lasallian Mission Services will be joined by Brothers Garry Coyte and Adrian Watson.

Br Garry will assume the position of Leadership Development Officer with joint responsibility for promoting and supporting the continuing professional development and formation of Lasallians throughout the District of ANZPPNG. Although Br Garry will work throughout the four Sectors of the District, he will have significant responsibility for collaborating with Lasallian colleagues in PNG and Pakistan. Br Garry brings over 30 years of Principalship experience to this new role, and his leadership development work will include, but will not be limited to, support for Principals and Middle Managers in their work. Br Garry is keen to work with Lasallians at all levels of their journey.

Br Adrian, after an extensive career in leadership, both in schools and in other organisations, will assume duties as the fulltime Tercentenary Project & Liaison Officer for the District of ANZPPNG during 2018-19. This position has been developed to meet a wide range of liaison, promotion, and coordination responsibilities as Lasallians, worldwide, celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Founder's death. Br Adrian will oversee the Australian Sector's Tercentenary events, and will support Grace Wrakia (PNG), Kane Raukura (NZ), and Br Zohaib Gill (Pakistan) who will lead Tercentenary celebrations in the other three Sectors.

I take this opportunity to sincerely thank Ms. Ria Greene, PARC's representative on the Tercentenary Ad Hoc Committee. Ria has brought her customary professionalism and conscientiousness in initiating a number of excellent Tercentenary proposals. Br Tony Cummins has also contributed importantly to the project. Both Ria & Tony will work with Br Adrian during the transition to his new role.

Thanks are also offered to Br David Hawke, Visitor, for his support in bringing these significant appointments to fruition.
