I am very pleased to share with you our fresh edition of MigNews. There is quite a lot of happenings that took place since the last issue of the MigNews in October 2019. The young Aspirants continue to grow and mature in their spiritual journey of vocation discernment as well as grow physically from being teenagers to young healthy adults. There was a mid-year evaluation conducted of the Aspirants in December 2019.
Celebration of the feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Temple which is also known as the Feast of the Aspirants in the IBrnst. Zohitute aibw FSas C another magnificent program. His Grace Indrias Rehmat Bishop of Faisalab (Dirade ctoDior ocef Fsoe ranmatiod Bnr.) Shahzad along with Brothers from different communities graced the occasion with their encouraging presence.
A productive and grace-filled day of recollection was organized in the second week of Advent. Aspirants observed complete silence and nourished their spirituality with reflective sessions with Brothers. Rory and Zohaib. A beautiful prayer service and a nice Christmas lunch were organized before the Aspirants went home for Christmas break to spend time with their families and friends.
Feast of St. Miguel Febres Cordero FSC was celebrated with spiritual zeal and feelings of utter happiness and excitement. Brothers from the Faisalabad community joined the Aspirants to celebrate this important day in Miguel House.
As we have entered the holy and blessed season of Lent, we observe a fast together as a community on Wednesdays and Fridays. Prayer of the Fourteen Stations is also respectfully organized, Brothers and workers join together to reflect on these pivotal stations of the sacrificial journey of Christ our savior towards his destination to Calvary.
Some major repair work of the building was also done to make Miguel House safer and more beautiful. Miguel House staff are doing their best to accompany and form these young men to better understand the basics of religious life and inculcating in them the essential values and manners to better prepare them for the next stages of their formation and character building.
I, on behalf of the Aspirants and staff of Miguel House, urge you to continue to remember us all in your prayers as we will soon begin to plan and work on the vocation campaign and this year's 'Come & See' program. I also request you to pray for the college-going Aspirants as they prepare themselves for the final exams in the coming months.
May we all continue to grow in loving our God and sharing our blessings and joys with each other. God bless you!
