Nathan Gremmo was in Year 8 at Oakhill College in 2015 when he was taken suddenly in a motor vehicle accident. Nathan and his family had previously discussed organ donation and from this conversation, the Gremmo family were able to use this tragedy to save six lives.
Jersey Day 2017 kicked off this morning at Oakhill with our annual Father Son Touch Football Morning and BBQ. We were lucky to have Nathan's parents Michael and Kylie, along with his sisters Ashley and Annaliese join us.
Ms Tidemann who coordinated the event said " Nathan's legacy through Jersey Day grows stronger each year and this is reflected in the public's awareness about the event. It is extraordinary to witness the commitment of the Gremmo family to this most important cause.
Here at Oakhill we are blessed to be able to remember Nathan on this special day as a young Lasallian who loved his school and his mates, and we are proud to be a part of helping raise awareness about organ donation."
Please make today the day you have this important conversation with your loved ones.
May God hold our brother Nathan close by His side and Bless the Gremmo family today and always.
Live Nathan in our Hearts - Forever.
