The East Sepik Lasallian Youths journeyed to Maprik for their annual Encounter Camp which was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School in Papua New Guinea.
Since 2013, the Papua New Guinea Lasallian Family Youth Movement in East Sepik has expanded. This year the program was attended by 60 students from various secondary schools and primary schools in East Sepik.
Local Lasallian Youth Leaders facilitated the program, encouraging participants to rise to their potential as future Lasallian leaders. Aloysius Jalapuin presented on the topic "If not me, WHO?", explaining that curiosity will lead to discovery and finding purpose. Aloysius also encouraged participants to be more like Moses in the Burning Bush "leave behind your sandals and trudge on the new horizon".

Facilitated by Josh Moish, the Encounter Camp ended with participants developing Action Plans which highlighted opportunities to implement Lasallian values ''Faith, Service and Community" in their respective schools. Participants were excited about bringing the 'Lasallian Spirit' to their schools.
Appreciation is expressed to Elizabeth Aribi, Dagia Aka, Larry Auwa and Francis Apa, Lasallian Youth Ministers, who showed exemplary leadership skills.
