The Springtide Research Institute is a new Lasallian ministry, founded in 2019. Springtide is an independent, inter- and cross-religious sociological research institute wholly dedicated to exploring the intersection of young peoples' human and religious experiences. The founding Executive Director is Dr. Josh Packard, a sociologist of religion at a major secular university in Colorado.

From this school year, St. James College East Bentleigh and St. Bede's College Mentone are amalgamating, the result of 18 months of planning. Both sharing the Lasallian heritage from 1970 and 1938 respectively, their decision, announced by the St. Bede's College Board Chair, Mr. Anthony Brinkley and the Principal, Mr. John Finn, was signed and celebrated in a liturgy on January 27 2021 at St. Bede's.

During the early days of the pandemic the Formation for Mission team received a number of requests for a prayer and reflection resource that could be used in our Lasallian ministries for individual and group reflection, board meetings, staff meetings and other gatherings. Our response was to develop a set of prayer and reflection resources we called "Let Us Remember" which was sent to Lasallian ministries every two weeks from July to December.

Six months ago in Rome, we set up an international group of Lasallians to reflect on ways for deeping our Lasallian spirituality.
