Resource: Let Us Remember - A loving parent; a companion on the road; a spirit that resides within us – Prayerful and Eucharistic

Let us remember' is a prayer and reflection resource offered to Lasallian schools and works. It might be used for individual prayer and reflection or at the beginning of team/faculty meetings, staff briefings or whole staff meetings. There will be a different focus for each reflection and over time a library of prayers and reflections will be developed for use.

Today's theme is: "A loving parent; a companion on the road; a spirit that resides within us – Prayerful and Eucharistic"

As the Australian Plenary Council reaches another phase at the end of 2021, I reflect on my own experience of being part of an eclectic group coming together to discuss what it means to be prayerful and eucharistic. We were invited to listen to what the spirit was saying. In the dialogue with this diverse group including a Maronite priest, a teacher, parents, sons, daughters and a Carmelite Bishop, a religious order, as opposed to the delicious caramel I first thought of. Here is some of my reflections written from our discussions. We began with three stories that were familiar: The loving father, elder sibling and prodigal child, the Emmaus Story and Pentecost or alternatively named; a loving parent; a companion on the road; a spirit that resides within us...
