San Miguel is a child-centred family residential service providing intensive, individualised support to vulnerable young parents and their children by improving their safety, wellbeing and life prospects. Recently, San Miguel celebrated its 40-year anniversary.

The event was celebrated by Brother's who have been involved in San Miguel over the past 40 years as well as the Member for Hawkesbury, Robyn Preston MP, residents, staff and friends of San Miguel (including Sid & Carolyn Kelly, who have been great supporters of the service for many years).

yourtown Board Member Peter Ffrench and Michael Starr, Southern Region Manager, provided commemorate speeches.  Guest enjoyed morning tea, a historical slide show and a recorded message from our Patron of Celebrate the West, Bryan Brown.

Currently, San Miguel has accommodation on-site for 19 families. Residents include young families with one or two parents, including pregnant women and single fathers. The service provides residents with social interaction with other young families, skills for independent living, child development support, expressive therapy, playgroups, counselling and advice.
