Death of Terry Blanchard

Dear Brothers

Kindly pray for the eternal rest of Terry Blanchard who died yesterday. Terry was a former De La Salle Brother and a member of the Board of Oakhill College.

The funeral will be held in Marrickville next week with further details in the SMH tomorrow.

May Terry rest in peace

Eternal Rest John Walsh Benefactor of the Institute

Please pray for the eternal rest of John Walsh, Benefactor of the Institute who passed away early this morning after a short illness. John was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Iris and his brother Fr Hugh Walsh OFM. After completing many years as Bursar at Oakhill College, he graciously accepted the position of District Bursar when I was Visitor back in the late 1990's. Denis Loft is appointed to the Bankstown community effective early June.

Upon completion of the Scholasticate on 12th April, Gulfam Gulzar is appointed to the Bomana community and Sajawal Bhatti to the Hohola community. Both appointments are effective once a Visa is granted in late May. Upon their arrival in PNG they will reside in the same community for an induction programme before residing at Bomana and Hohola.

YEAR 9 RETREAT Service was the theme of the Year 9 retreat. The students heard from Alton Gondapon, college old boy, who spoke about his experience at the College and how he was inspired to serve by his former teacher, Mrs
