Joy. Fun. Laughter. Enthusiasm. Community. Connectedness. All of these flowed from the Gleeson Auditorium at ACU Strathfield (Sydney) on Tuesday the 21st of August. The event was yet another successful Young Lasallians Evening, hosted by the Young Lasallians Team. This Evening gathering was uniquely energetic as it was also the official Launch Party for next year's Lasallian Youth Gathering (to be hosted in Melbourne.

Appointment of new ANZPPNG Communications Manager - Jordan Grantham

Br David Hawke, Visitor, and Mr Merv McCormack, Executive Director of the Lasallian Mission Council (LMC) are pleased to announce that Mr Jordan Grantham will commence duties as Communications Manager of LMC on 3 September 2018.

Please see below statement from Archbishop Mark Coleridge, president of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, on Pope Francis' letter regarding child sexual abuse. Archbishop Coleridge explains that the Australian bishops welcome and share the Holy Father's determination to protect young people and vulnerable adults. Archbishop Coleridge also affirmed that it is critical that words are accompanied by actions in ensuring safe places in Church settings.

The Catholic Alliance for People Seeking Asylum (CAPSA) has organised a 2018 National Week of Prayer and Action. The week will run from the 20th 31st August, which are the weeks either side of the 104th World Day of Migrant and Refugees.
The aim is to complement Migrant and Refugee week, promoted by ACMRO, and be a practical expression of Pope Francis' message to welcome, protect, promote and integrate migrants and refugees.

On Tuesday, 14 August, the hopes and concerns of young Catholics were given a voice at an Australian Catholic Youth Council workshop in Sydney yesterday.
