De La Salle College Ashfield students have achieved top marks in the 2018 Grok Learning Web.Comp.
Year 11 Software Design and Development student Jonathan Doolan achieved a perfect score. He shared first place in the global competition, which quizzes students on their knowledge of HTML and CSS coding languages as they learn.

Last week, Br Mandy visited the Primary and Secondary campuses, working with the Year 9 classes, a selection of Year 10 classes and Primary classes. The students were engaged with his captivating way of getting a message across.
Br Mandy's use of storytelling and relating it to childhood fairy tales was a feature this year and has formed part of his Doctoral studies.

Victorian MP Dan Tehan has been appointed Education Minister by new Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
Mr Tehan replaces Senator Simon Birmingham who was heavily criticised by the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria over controversial Socio-Economic Status scores which are used to allocates federal money to Catholic and independent schools.
