Today we join the Church and the rest of the Institute in celebrating the World Day for Consecrated Life.
Instituted by St. Pope John Paul II in 1997, it is celebrated in conjunction with the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas Day, which commemorates through the blessing and lighting of candles that Christ is the light of the world. So too, those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all peoples.
This year, we worked with Brothers from all over the world to reflect on our experience of living our consecrated vocation during the pandemic.
We will be featuring their responses in Lasallian social media all over the world starting today.
