World Day of Prayer for Vocations

Posted by Br Lewis Harwood FSC on 10 May 2019

Dear Lasallians,

Easter greetings and blessings to you all in your various communities and ministries.

This Sunday the 12th of May, the World Day of Prayer for Vocations will be held coinciding with Good Shepherd Sunday. This is an opportunity to witness and promote vocations in your various places of community and ministry.

Pope Francis reminds us that there are many ways to live out a vocation through Baptism and contribute to building up the Kingdom of heaven.  Each person can play a role in this great mission and realise their purpose in life. You can live out your vocation as a teacher, youth minister, social worker, auxiliary support, or in the consecrated life as religious or Priests and in the beautiful vocation of married life!

Check out the following!:

These following dates are important in promoting vocations to the Church and Consecrated Life:

  • 12th May - World Day of Prayer for Vocations
  • 4th -11th August - Australian National Vocations Awareness Week

If you would like to support the Lasallian vocation team with a school/university/or community visit please contact the Lasallian Vocations team on 02 9795 6400 or email us at admin@delasalle.org.au

We would appreciate it if you could circulate the attached flyer to your networks.

We continue to live out a life of faith, service and community in following Jesus and the Gospel.
