The journey to the campsite was tiring, some traveled by boat and public transport, although the weariness didn't dampen their spirits as they eagerly waited for Larry to get them started for the night reflection.
A bonfire burned bright and the atmosphere was set ablaze with prayerful songs sung in tune to the strum of the acoustic guitars.
It was truly magnificent as the bonfire set the mood for Saturday's ice-breakers, De La Salle themed activities and lots of dancing.
The students offered positive feedback and praise about their experience; "this gathering was a happy occasion, and I can't wait to attend another camp."
We extend our gratitude to Larry for coming over to facilitate the program and a special thanks to our guest, Br Thomas Yapo who presented very inspirational topics about 'Generosity 'and 'Dignity' to the youths.
A special mention to our former Youth Minister, Elizabeth Kwaudi Aribi who visited our students in 2013 and 2014 and to the current Youth Minister, Dagia Aka. Your coming here was not a mistake.
You have instilled in their hearts the Spirit of Faith and Zeal. You folks are very influential to these young Lasallians. Together, we can make a difference.
On behalf of the East Sepik Lasallian Family, we would like to thank the De La Salle Brothers of Port Moresby for your support in making this event a success.
