Together For Mission

Dates: Block 1: Sunday 10 to Thursday 14 April 2022, Block 2: Sunday 25 to Thursday 29 September 2022

Location: Rydges Hotel, Cronulla, NSW, Australia

With the overall aim of enhancing our capacity to work effectively with or on behalf of young people in schools and in yourtown, the program runs over four semesters, with a residential week (‘block’) in each semester. The curriculum is being planned in conjunction with leaders from yourtown and our schools, some of whom will also be facilitating sessions within each block. This residential program was successfully launched in November 2019 but had to be paused because of Covid-19.

The program incorporates four integrated streams:

  • Young People (their strengths and their vulnerabilities);

  • Our Story (the Lasallian story 1651-2022);

  • Education & Wellbeing (our work in/for schools and yourtown as we help our young people to flourish);

  • Values & Spirituality (living our Lasallian values in an increasingly technological age).

Incorporating a practical component of participant’s current work within a school or yourtown ministry, the program will suit both younger and older educators who are enthusiastic about their work with young people, as well as those who need some time for reflection and renewal. It will appeal to leaders at every level, including board directors.

The program is likely to be accredited at Master’s level, with other levels of certification available. For those seeking tertiary accreditation, there will be a significantly discounted higher education fee.

Board Formation

Throughout Lasallian schools and ministries, many generous people give their time in order to support the governance and leadership required to meet the needs of those we serve. Whether in a governance or advisory capacity, it is critical that all board members are familiar with the Christian Lasallian story and the principles of Catholic social teaching to inform their work.
