POLICIES
The Lasallian District of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Pakistan, is committed to ensuring that children, young people, and adults at risk are safeguarded from harm, are respected and nurtured.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility of all, for all. The district acknowledges that there are those who have specific needs including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people, the elderly, those living with disability or suffering from an illness, those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, are children in out of home care, those who are homeless, and children and adults of diverse sexuality.
Lasallian Ministries must be places of safety and all personnel must uphold and demonstrate through their actions and interactions the duty of care we have towards all children, young people, and adults at risk. Accordingly, a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse or safety violations is expected and enforced across the district.
