Inaugural Parmenie Retreat

WHAT: Our inaugural Parmenie Retreat is fast approaching.

WHEN: 2-3 (Sat & Sun) November 2024, arrivals from 10am with the retreat commencing at 11am. It will conclude at 11am on the Sunday.

WHERE:  an easy and pleasant drive. For example, it takes about an hour to drive from  Bankstown to the Hermitage, 843 Old S Rd, Mittagong NSW, a beautiful, rustic and unpretentious centre owned by the Marists, located in the picturesque Southern Highlands.  It has been used previously for Lasallian events.  Accommodation is offered in 39 ensuited bedrooms in two wings of the main building and additional accommodation is also available in onsite cottages depending on the number of attendees.  All meals are included.

WHY is it called Parmenie?  The original Parmenie is located just outside Grenoble in the south of France.  It was, for a time, where St John Baptist de La Salle found peace and renewal during a particularly difficult time in his life.

WHO is this Retreat for?   This Retreat will be a gentle experience of community, rest and renewal offering the opportunity to reconnect with elements of Lasallian spirituality, with old acquaintances, and meet new friends from across diverse Lasallian communities.

Cost:  $240.00 This includes all resources, meals, drinks and accommodation.  The Hermitage caters for the following dietary requirements: lactose intolerant, gluten free and vegetarian meals.
